On December 11, 2020, Maple Leaf Educational Systems (MLES) and Lishui District of Nanjing Government held a formal signing ceremony.
Dr. Sherman Jen, Founder and Chairman of MLES and Mr. Zhang Weizhen, Vice Governor of Lishui District of Nanjing Government signed the agreement on behalf of MLES and Lishui District of Nanjing Government.
Management teams from MLES Head Office and related representatives from Lishui District of Nanjing Government attended the ceremony.
Dr. Sherman Jen, Founder and Chairman of MLES had the following comments on the occasion: “Maple Leaf has a model, the globally-recognized Maple Leaf World School Curriculum, and Moral Education including Happy Education in elementary school, Three-Good-Habit cultivation in middle school and Goal-Orientated education in high school.”

With the support of the government and the powerful systems of MLES, we will make every effort to build an excellent Chinese and international team, and a management team which achieves maximum optimization. This will make MLIS – Nanjing an outstanding branded school in Nanjing, Jiangsu within 3 to 5 years.”
Mr. Zhang Weizhen, Vice Governor of Lishui District of Nanjing Government stated a high-standard construction plan including smart campus integration will be implemented to ensure MLIS – Nanjing becomes the preeminent school in Jiangsu Province, and in China.
Mr. Zhu Kecheng, CPPCC Chairman of Lishui District of Nanjing said the government appreciated the support of MLES and believed it was an important event in Nanjing. He also gave his best wishes for the construction and development of MLIS – Nanjing.
The MLIS – Nanjing campus is designed with a capacity of about 4,000 students including preschool, elementary, middle and high schools. It will open on September 1, 2022 and will recruit students from across the nation and the world.
The MLES 6th Five-Year Plan calls for 10 educational districts in China including Jiangsu District. The district headquarters will be set up in Nanjing.
The successful signing of Maple Leaf International School-Nanjing is an important step forward to achieve the strategic objectives of MLES in the Sixth Five-Year Plan.
